Valencia, in Spain, it is perfect for a pleasant family holiday, as it is a city full of entertainment for children of all ages and, at the same time, it is a destination with many enchanting places, also ideal for “grown-ups”.
During the summer season, the little ones can enjoy the blue sea and play on the equipped beaches, spend pleasant time outdoors in the green spaces and in the streets of the city or on bicycle routes.

1. Visit to the Marina of Valencia

In this area there are shops, outdoor bars and restaurants and from this summer you can take advantage of the new natural swimming pool of the city, both for refreshing baths and for swimming workouts. There is also a large playground with separate areas according to age and a jetty from which you can go on catamaran excursions.
Finally, it is also possible to perform outdoor activities, try your hand at the skating rink or in water sports such as windsurfing or paddle surfing.
2. A day at the City of Arts and Sciences to discover the Oceanografic
Not to be missed, in Valencia, is the City of Arts and Sciences, the scientific and cultural complex designed by the genius of Santiago Calatrava has become one of the symbols of the city. In particular, theOceanogràfic it is a submerged city with aquariums, dolphin shows, lakes, lagoons and islets that illustrate the marine life of 45 thousand specimens and 500 different species.
The great novelty of the Oceanogràfic are the Oceanic Islands, where you can admire exceptional creatures such as, for example, the Aldabra turtles. Also worth seeing are the 4D cinema and the Science Museum.

3. Guided tour by jeep
From this year it is possible to make excursions toAlbufera with a 4×4 jeep and thus discover the wonderful Natural Park just 10 km from the city by jeep: the tour also includes a boat trip in the waters of the Albufera. Even the Valencia City Safari, the guided tour of Valencia by 4×4 jeep is great fun for families. The Tour includes three stops with free time to visit the most important points: the historic center, the City of Arts and Sciences and the Royal Navy / Beach.
4. Walk in the new Central Park
In Valencia there is a beautiful new Central Park of 110,826 m2: there are 90,000 specimens of shrubs and trees, socializing areas for dogs, play areas for children, a fountain with a large body of water and climbing walls. There is also a large and original playground where you can play freely while parents can walk and relax.
5. New spaces for the little ones: Convent Carmen, Mercado de San Valero
In the city there are real spaces dedicated to children, such as the Convent Carmen, a recreational-cultural area that hosts concerts, exhibitions and activities for all ages. In the garden of the Convent Carmen there is a gastronomic market and an area for live performances: children can play freely and every Sunday there are activities for them.
Also in the Rufaza district, the Mercado de San Valero, the first street food market in Valencia, offers a rich program of activities for children.
6. Visit to the Bioparc
Considered one of the best zoological parks in Europe, the Bioparc is perfect for spending a day full of fun and knowledge for children. In this large space the four African ecosystems: the savannah, Madagascar, the equatorial forest and wetlands. The Bioparc is based on the concept of zoo-diving: here the animals are not locked up in cages and visitors can admire them in their natural habitat. This year, then, the visit to the Bioparc will be even more suggestive because two very tender chimpanzee cubs have just been born!
7. Spend the day at the beach
In the summer season it is really fun to enjoy a pleasant day with the family on one of the urban beaches of Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa, which are located just 15 minutes from the city center. Equipped with a wonderful promenade, with many playgrounds, the beaches will be the favorite of children.
