On the pregnancy and the maternity new studies are published all the time. And some are really special. A Finnish research raises the alarm. Having gods sons would reduce thelife expectancy of mothers. According to the research, in fact, the birth of a male child would increase the risk of death by 7%. The study was conducted by Samuli Helle of the University of Turku in Finland and was recently published in the journal Biology Letters.

A few years ago Helle had published research according to which for each male child, a woman loses about 34 weeks of life. And now continue on this topic with the new study. Is having sons really that terrible?
According to this study, yes. The parish registers of Finnish communities from the 17th to the 20th century. And according to the research if a woman has her last child around 37 years old, his life expectancy will be closely linked to the sex of the child. According to the analysis of the data collected, in fact, if a woman has a daughter “she will be allowed to live on average another 33.1 years; 32.7 if she has three males, 32.4 if she had six”.
But how many women have 6 children nowadays? In any case, this research was carried out by analyzing the death data of Finnish women in the past centuries and relating their ages to the sex of the last child born. But there are no real ones scientific analyzes which prove it.

According to the research the males would suck more energy from the mother from the biological point of view, because on average the boys are bigger at birth than the girls; and from a social point of view, because males generally give less help around the house. But will it really be like this?
