Everything you need to know about it
What actually happens to the placenta after birth? In many cases, parents have no use for it, but there are some options in alternative medicine and esoteric circles.
While some bury it under a tree or in another important place, others want to leave it as a lotus birth on the child – and still others decide to To have placenta globules produced. How easy it is and what globules from the placenta are used for, you will find out if you read on.
How are placenta globules made?
If you would like to have globules made from placenta after the birth of your baby, you should definitely take care of it in advance. You can order a set from one of the manufacturers by e-mail or contact form, with the help of which you can remove a pea-sized piece from the placenta, preferably immediately after the birth, and store it in a suitable container.
The container is supplied with a liquid that is used to manufacture homeopathic medicines and protects the placenta on its way to the manufacturer.
It is best to have a midwife or doctor remove the piece. Because you usually confirm on a collection protocol that the sample was taken under the hygienic conditions of the hospital or birthing center. This is necessary so that the globules then meet the requirements of the Medicines Act. However, this does not result in liability for midwives or hospital staff, which is also expressly noted. The name and position as well as the signature of the person withdrawing are also required.
It is questionable whether you will find appropriate hygienic conditions for a home birth. However, a sterile environment is not necessary for this, because the placenta is autoclaved during manufacture, that is, sterilized with steam. Hands should be clean or disposable medical gloves worn when cutting out. A sterile disposable scalpel or previously disinfected devices is best.
The piece of placenta is removed as close as possible to the umbilical cord attachment and on the maternal side.
Then you label the vial, fill out all the forms that have been sent and send the tissue back to the manufacturer. Make sure that the sample is taken as hygienically as possible and that you do not touch it with your hands if possible. The set also comes with precise instructions.
If you don’t send anything back, there are no costs for the placenta globules. Only if you send it back with the signed order form and the Placental anosodes are actually created, you will also receive an invoice.
After about two weeks you will get the finished globules back.
You can order such sets, for example here.
How are placenta globules made?
The placenta tissue sent in is then cleaned and energetically upgraded on site. According to homeopathic working methods, the material is potentized and mixed with milk sugar so that it is durable. How long the placenta anosodes can be kept (best before date) is then stated on the packaging.
If she Placenta globules C or D potency also depends on your wishes. From a therapeutic point of view, i.e. in terms of application and effect, there are no real differences between the two potencies. While the C-potencies are more common in other European countries, more D-potencies are used in Germany.
The difference between a D-potency and a C-potency is the exponentiation, i.e. the dilution of the starting material. While D stands for 10, a C power is diluted 100 times. In homeopathy, the following applies: the higher the potency, the more effective the globules. In Germany, the potencies D6 to D30 are usually recommended. If you have no experience with globules or are unsure, you should seek advice from a specialist.
You can also order different potencies or even drops with alcohol from the manufacturer of the placenta anosodes. If you intend to have more placenta globules made in the future, you can also order a stock solution with a lower potency (e.g. D3). You can use it to reorder about 100 times.
How expensive are globules made from placenta?
It is difficult to say in general how much your globule order will cost. That depends on the size of the order and the exponentiation.
Usually there is a basic price for manual production, which is between 40 and 60 € / 10g.
If you place additional orders, the prices are only 4 to 10 € / 10g, because the basic work is then already done.
How many placenta globules should you take?
Since the potentization, dosage and frequency of ingestion of globules basically depend heavily on how acute the symptoms are and how old, for example, your child is, it is difficult to present the manufacturer’s dosage recommendation in a simple manner. You can find a good guideline, for example here. However, it would be best if a specialist could advise you on the dosage.
Are placenta globules useful?
In homeopathy, placenta globules are a real miracle weapon. Since the medical effect of globules is still in doubt, you have to decide for yourself personally whether you consider globules made of placenta to be useful or hocus-pocus.
But if you have basically had good experiences with homeopathic medicine, I can only advise you to make placenta globules.
The placenta has been used in homeopathy for over 200 years, and in ancient medicine for much, much longer. No wonder, because the placenta is a real miracle organ. It forms anew with every pregnancy and is therefore unique in its growth and structure.
Functions and peculiarities of the placenta
During pregnancy, she completely takes care of the unborn life, which is connected to the placenta via the umbilical cord. It protects the child from infections, stress hormones, pollutants and at the same time provides them with everything they need. The placenta replaces all of the baby’s organ functions during pregnancy.
This is what a placenta looks like after birth, when it has loosened and the umbilical cord has been separated from the baby.
After the birth, the placenta is rejected by the body because it is no longer needed. Not simply disposing of them is an obvious thought in view of their diverse functions.
With placenta globules, your baby and all other family members can continue to benefit energetically from the protective function.
Application of placenta globules
from Nosodes one speaks when homeopathic drugs are made from the body’s own components. Strictly speaking, placenta globules are not “nosodes”, but rather “sarcodes” or “autonosodes”, ie the use and potentiation of organic, endogenous material such as blood or tissue. One also speaks of homeopathic body substance thinning.
For liability reasons, manufacturers must therefore point out that the placental sarcodes are only intended for use by the mother, i.e. the material donor.
In practice, however, placenta globules are used in babies, siblings and also in the father.
Possible areas of application of placenta globules:
- Colic and digestive problems
- Respiratory diseases
- Infections, colds, weakened immune defenses
- Breastfeeding problems, milk production problems
- Allergies, neurodermatitis, skin problems
- psychological stress, baby blues
- Hair loss after pregnancy
- Problems with hormone regulation
- Use during a new pregnancy
- Regression of the uterus
- rheumatic complaints
A comprehensive list of possible symptoms is not possible here, because placental globules are used by users in all possible areas.
It cannot be objectively assessed whether these symptoms are actually improved by taking placental anosodes. There is no serious study on placenta globules, only positive experiences and reports.
It is important that placental anosodes do not replace other drugs in severe illnesses, but can only have a supportive effect. In the event of severe infections, severe pain and persistent complaints, you should always consult a doctor – whether for your baby, toddler or yourself.
Placenta pills as an alternative to globules
In addition to the production of nosodes, there is also the option of drying placental tissue and then processing it into pills. This is a good alternative for everyone who shy away from eating the placenta, but still wants to absorb part of the miracle organ. Up to 60 pills can be made from one placenta.
What is the Difference Between Placenta Pills and Globulis?
In contrast to globules, you should know that placenta pills can also pass on infectious diseases that are otherwise transmitted via the blood. In the manufacture of globules, this risk is almost zero, because sterile solutions are used. Because the tissue of placenta pills is only dried and ground, the destruction of all germs and pathogens is not guaranteed.
