♥ Due Date Calculator – Calculate when your baby is due
Calculate due date after ICSI, IVF
The same applies to the key date calculation after artificial insemination – i.e. in the case of pregnancies after in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI): Although in such cases the time of fertilization is precisely determined, the ET cannot be so predict exactly. Up to around the 15th week of pregnancy, pregnancies develop in a relatively similar way. From the fourth month, each child grows individually in the womb of the mother, and the gestation period is also measured very differently from woman to woman.
Calculate due date for twins and multiples
Different standards apply to the deadline for twins and multiples in general: the larger body volume often limits the time for multiple pregnancies. So it happens that the maturation process is very rapid up to birth: between the 37th and 38th week of pregnancy, expectant parents of multiples can expect ET. Multiple births are therefore born about 3 weeks earlier than single births.
If you are expecting multiple births, you should first determine the “regular” calculated ET with our birth calculator. Then calculate back three weeks to get your guide value for the multiple birth.

Due date exceeded? – No panic!
If the birth is a long time coming, the motto is: keep calm! You will be comprehensively cared for by your midwife or gynecologist until the ET. About every two days, for example, the health of the mother and child is monitored using a CTG. And with some tricks, like acupuncture or warm baths, you can speed up labor.

Alternatives to the online birth calculator
With the following due date calculation formulas and tools you can also determine the due date:
Calculate due date by period (Naegele rule)
If you want to calculate the baby’s due date yourself using a formula, the so-called Naegele rule will help you. It calculates the ET based on the last period: simply add 7 days to the first day of your last period and then subtract 3 months; the formula is therefore:
- [erster Tag der letzten Regel] + 7 days – 3 months
As a result, you will receive one day of the month as the expected date of birth of the child.
Example ET calculation:
- Your last period started on July 5th.
- Add 7 days to this and you get July 12th.
- Subtract three months: April 12 – this is the calculated due date.
You can also let our due date calculator do the work for you. It’s easy and uncomplicated! Our birth calculator can also calculate the day of birth a little more precisely: it also takes the length of your cycle (your average cycle length) into account.
Calculate ET after ovulation (with conception date)
Alternatively, you can calculate the due date using the conception date. Any cycle fluctuations do not affect this calculation method. The conception date refers to the point in time at which the ovum is fertilized by a male sperm.
The date of conception and due date can be calculated more precisely if you can determine your ovulation. After ovulation, the egg cell can only be fertilized within the following 12 to 24 hours.
formula for ET calculation with date of conception:
- [Zeugungsdatum] – 7 days + 9 months
By the way, you can use the due date, which our ET calculator gives you here, to narrow down the fertilization period.

ET calculation with calendar turntable (Gravidarium)
In the classic form, you can also use a so-called gravidarium to calculate the delivery date. A gravidarium is a pregnancy calendar in the form of a turntable. With the online due date calculator like the one you find at the top of this page, this classic tool for calculating ET has probably gone out of fashion.
Estimated date of birth: good to know?
As already mentioned, most babies do not stick to the calculated deadline. Nevertheless, the calculated ET can be a guideline for many timing issues related to the birth:
For benefits such as parental and child benefit, however, the actual date of birth is required. Therefore, applications can only be made after birth.
