Calcification of the placenta – 38th week of pregnancy …. Have a question.
good morning lovelys,
I went to my doctor on Tuesday and she found that my 2nd degree placenta is now calcified. The amniotic fluid would also be “not so good”, whatever that means. I have to say that I didn’t smoke, so that’s not where it comes from. She said that the placenta calcified a little earlier in some people, and towards the end it is normal because it actually only works for 40 weeks.
I now have to go to the CTG and Doppler every few days to see that the little one is still being well looked after.
Now my question: If the little one didn’t come for the next 2 weeks and I was over the appointment, how long will they wait until they initiate it? I am a little worried about you if something happens … and what if tomorrow (that’s my next appointment) the CTG was already worse? Will the birth then be initiated? Now have 16 days until the ET.
Does anyone know? I would be very happy…
