Exercising to the beat of music and spending quality time with your baby at the same time can be really stimulating and fun. “Danza In Fascia” is a method created just for new mothers and theirs newborns which contributes to increasing the psycho-physical well-being of both.
Francesca Lavecchia, creator of the project and dance teacher, said that you can start dancing with “Danza In Fascia” at the completion of two months of the baby, because in this way there is time for the mother to recover from the end of the pregnancy and from the birth.
It is therefore real dance lesson, held by dance teachers and codified to respect the needs of new mothers and their children, offering continuity to the bond established during the gestation period.
The paths are individual is customized according to the different experiences had by the members of the group, such as the type of birth and post partum. Each lesson lasts about an hour and is divided into several phases. In the beginning, there is a moment of relaxation and listening, mediated by breathing. Then we move on to general warming and toning, with a focus on muscle strengthening, stretching and exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor and abdomen.
Subsequently, the baby is placed in the headband or pouch and dance exercises are started, in the center or at the barre, depending on the artistic training of the teacher.
The health emergency caused by Covid-19 did not stop the “Danza In Fascia” project: the creator and collaborators organized a free online event for all new mothers.
In fact, due to the prolongation of the emergency, which made it impossible to continue the courses in the presence in dance schools, “Danza In Fascia” has thought of a free event aimed at all new mothers in Italy, in order to give in this particular moment a message of union and sharing (even if through a screen).
The free online event organized for new mothers is called “Balliamo con Danza In Fascia” and will take place on January 23, 2021 at 15.00. The lesson will be held by Franca Lavecchia, director of “Danza In Fascia”, by Chiara Firenze, coordinator of “Danza In Fascia” and by Isabella Bianchi (pediatric physiotherapist).
It is not the philosophy of “Danza In Fascia” to propose online courses, but, given the situation, the goal is to give a message of positivity and hope to all new mothers.
